September 23rd 2011 - Lands End to John O'Groats Challenge
A challenge with a difference!  Having not ridden a bike since their youth, Simon Haggart and Ian Jiggins of Robbie's home village, Coleorton, have decided to celebrate their respective 50th Birthdays in style by riding over 1000 miles to raise money for Asthma UK and Robbie's Trust.

All monies raised will be split 50/50 between both charities.

More teams than ever took part - the sun shone, all injuries were superficial and Loughborough team Schweffs took home the trophy.

June 28th 2011 - Fashion Show

Our thanks to all who attended the Fashion Show held in the beautiful surroundings of Langar Hall in Nottinghamshire. Guests were treated to champagne and Canapés throughout the evening and entertained by songs from the musicals, Francessca Jones, a talented young lady who was a friend of Robbies.

The MidsummersBigParty would like to offer a massive and wholehearted THANK-YOU to all those who attended on Saturday night - it was truly magical and we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did!

A great big thanks for the generosity of those who sponsored our auction and raffle prizes and to those who donated their time and effort in supporting our event, without which, none of the BigParty would have been possible.

This was yet again a night to remember. We were entertained by the lovely Hannah B, tribute act Frank Sinatra and London band Arcadia playing until the early hours. Tributes came from Dr Hiliary Jones, Kasabian front man Tom Meighan and England Rugby Coach Martin Johnson.

One lucky lady went home with a diamond after correctly guessing how long it would take for the ice to melt around it. Our thanks to Mr and Mrs Walton for providing a spectacular venue and to the dedicated committee who organised an amazing nights entertainment for 800 people.

Thanks to Oli Dewes who organised a wonderful tribute Concert at Lutterworth Technical College and to all those who supported it on and off the stage. well done Olli!!

February 12th 2011 - "Love, Fashion and Champagne"

Saturday 12th February saw Newcastle's biggest and best Valentines Ball held at the Falcons Rugby Ground. It was a total sell-out with Red Carpet Entrance, Champagne Reception with live music, Showgirls, 3 course Dinner and Fashion Show. The models included young people who have been treated on Newcastle's Teenage Cancer Unit - a blueprint for what we are hoping to achieve at Leicester Royal Infirmary.
